SDCC 2018: Wynonna Earp Renewed For Fourth Season
It’s always an encouraging sign whenever a TV channel hits the Renew button as fast as it possibly can…..especially when it happens to a show that deserves it. Wynonna Earp just aired its third season opener Friday, and one day later SyFy re-upped the contracts for another ten-episode season. That was fast!
The news was broken by EW.com and announced later that day at the Comic-Con panel.
“We are absolutely delighted that Wynonna Earp has been renewed for a fourth season,” says series creator Emily Andras. “We are so grateful to Syfy for their relentless and ferocious support of the series and the ‘Earper’ fandom.”
If you read sites like this, Wynonna Earp is the show for you. It’s a completely whacked-out fantasy horror western casserole where anything can happen, “and often does.” Melanie Scrofano plays the great-great-grandaughter of Wyatt Earp, whose actual purpose in life was to banish demons from the Earth with his magic gun. The show is insane, but not in that trying-too-hard forced manner SyFy has been trying with other shows. This one really means it.
Wynonna Earp’s third season is currently running Friday evenings throughout the summer, and the first two seasons can be found on demand.
