Soul Calibur II HD Online coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 this autumn
Soul Calibur II is celebrating its 10th birthday this year, and to mark the occasion Namco Bandai is going to release an HD version via the PlayStation Store and Xbox LIVE Marketplace in the coming months.
Announced during San Diego’s Comic-Con last week by series producer Masaki Hoshino, Soul Calibur II HD Online has been developed under the supervision of Project Soul to ensure the preservation of all that made the original so memorable – including a guest appearance from Tekken‘s Heihachi Mishima. As its name suggests, the title will add a robust and sturdy online multiplayer element to SCII 2003’s broad suite of game modes and features, and will benefit from vibrant updated graphics.
To evidence these points, as well as reacquaint you with Mitsurugi, Taki, Voldo and the gang, we’ve embedded the Comic-Con reveal trailer below. Are you looking forward to revisiting this transcendental tale of souls and swords?
