Star Wars Rebels: Frank Oz Returns as Yoda This Week
Disney XD and Lucasfilm have released a new trailer and new screenshots for the next upcoming episode for Star Wars Rebels as Season 2 rages on. You can check out the new screenshots and clip for the new episode, “Shroud of Darkness,” below. The new clip features an actual appearance in the series by Yoda, once again played by his original voice actor Frank Oz.
In “Shroud of Darkness,” Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger and Ahsoka Tano return to the Jedi Temple on Lothal to try and come up with a plan against the Inquisitors and figure out how their enemies have been able to continue to track them down. They seek the counsel of Master Yoda (Frank Oz). The trio then experiences powerful visions that will reveal the future, the past and old friends long thought forgotten. In the episode, Ahsoka will see a vision of her old master, Anakin Skywalker, before he became Darth Vader. Matt Lanter, who voiced Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, will return to voice the character in this episode.
In the new clip, Ezra comes face-to-face with a vision of Yoda. Yoda actually explains that Ezra can see him now because his powers with the Force are growing. However, with his growing power comes greater danger.
“Shroud of Darkness” will also feature the return of The Seventh Sister, voiced by Sarah Michelle Gellar. THe episode airs on Wednesday, March 2 on Disney XD at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
