Stardew Valley Goes To Magic School
Everyone is by now familiar with Stardew Valley, the PC farming-sim hit that is now playable on all consoles. Fans of the game have been wondering what the developer, Chucklefish, has in store for them next. Today we got our first look as their Twitter account revealed….Witchbrook.
The title is also the name of a Hogwarts-reminiscent school of Witchcraft and Wizardry where your character (a student) will hone his/her skills. Details are scarce at this early date, but in addition to the sim mechanics present in Stardew Valley (you WILL be able to date people in Witchbrook), there will be a combat system that works like Legend of Zelda, except you fight monsters with spells instead of weapons. Presumably there will be dungeon areas to put those skills to use.
Finn Brice, CEO of Chucklefish, says the release of Witchbrook is “still quite a way off.” More will come out in the months ahead. Witchbrook is scheduled to make its debut as a PC exclusive, at least for now.
