Stardust Galaxy Warriors Released On Steam
Stardust Galaxy Warriors, a new atmospheric bullethell/shoot-’em-up for PC from developers Dreamloop Games, has officially been released on Steam, with early reviews of the game showing a positive response from gamers, with many praising its “incredible soundtrack” and “fantastic visuals.” You can watch a trailer for the game below.
Stardust Galaxy Warriors features 3 game modes, each filled with immediately accessible fun: a 30-stage campaign (swarming with hellish clouds of unique enemies and bosses), Gauntlet Mode (an endless high-score race), and Challenge Mode, where players can play with unique and challenging rulesets for added difficulty. All modes support a fast-paced couch co-op option (with extensive controller support) for up to 4 players.
In-game, your mechs have a customizable weapon and upgrade system, and audiovisual excellence with music, sound, animations, and visual effects built together from the ground up to perfectly enhance the frenzied, bullethell atmosphere.
Stardust Galaxy Warriors was designed to bring players back in touch with the shoot-’em-ups (SHMUPs) of old, while bringing a fun experience to users who want to kick back on the couch with friends to laugh and play. It was also designed to bring a uniquely otaku/Mech twist (with a fair dose of tongue-in-cheek cheesiness) to the genre.
Speaking about the release of the game, Dreamloop co-founder, Teemu Norvasto, said:
“Our goal from the beginning was to bring players a fast-paced, fun, game that they can immediately jump into and play with their friends. I think we’ve succeeded.”
Describing the gameplay of the game, Steve Stewart, Dreamloop co-founder said:
“We incorporated a light touch of RPG elements for the same reason we allowed players to mess with all the configuration settings themselves. It’s damn fun. You can modify a crazy amount of options, like increasing the amount of enemies, modifying weapons’ rates of fire and the amount of power-ups, or even Revive Mode. It’s a game you can play while cracking brews with friends, and have a lot of laughs while getting beat up. That’s my favorite element.”
The game can be found on Steam here.
