Swap Fire: Season 2 Nearly at Kickstarter Goal
The Kickstarter campaign for the multiplayer first-person shooter, Swap Fire: Season 2, for Nintendo Switch is well under way. Currently, the campaign is very nearly at its current goal of $5,000 to get the game on Nintendo Switch, and it’s raised $3,275. So far, the campaign just has 43 hours to go.
As of now, a little less than two days seems to be enough time to hit that $5,000 goal, or at least get the goal incredibly close. The first Swap Fire was released for the Wii U last November. Based on player, the developers are now hoping to bring the new game to the Nintendo Switch.
Season 2 for Swap Fire is described as a “full blown sequel” for the original. Competitions for the game will be an annual event. The Kickstarter page also adds that this is not planned as DLC or a port of the Wii U version. This will be a true sequel that includes more content, higher-quality visuals and online multiplayer.
The original Swap Fire only had local multiplayer, as it was inspired by classic local multiplayer games for the SNES and N64 consoles. However, the planned sequel would feature an upgrade to online multiplayer, which is a nice progressive step forward.
The Kickstarter campaign for Swap Fire: Season 2 is set to end in less than two games. The original Swap Fire is available now for Nintendo Wii U.
