Syrinscape Answers The Call Of Cthulhu
The Australian company Syrinscape specializes in creating atmospheric sound and music for tabletop RPG games. The company offers a free 30-day trial, along with two free sound packs you can keep even if you choose not to pay the monthly fee. Soundsets currently available on Syrinscape include the official soundtracks to the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Mutants & Masterminds and more. And soon, the melodies of Lovecraftian horror!
Syrinscape has been tapped to create the official sounds for the Call of Cthulhu Roleplaying Game, starting with Masks of Nyarlathotep, coming out this May. The game is set in 1925 and you and your friends play as detectives who have to stop the forces of darkness from destroying the world. It’s a remake of the classic multi-part campaign for the Call of Cthulhu game, and will include a new chapter plus full-color maps and art.
“Call of Cthulhu is one of my top three games of all time and I can’t wait to give it the Syrinscape treatment with sonic doom and mind-bending horror,” says Benjamin Loomes, CEO and creator of Syrinscape. “It’s mgfm’latghnanah!” That means “good,” we think.
The first custom SoundSet for the series, Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition: Masks of Nyarlathotep, will be released upon its debut at Gen Con 2018. Look for more later in the year.
