Syrinscape Releases First Dungeons & Dragons Soundscape Pack
It’s official, folks: Syrinscape and Dungeons & Dragons have teamed up. The Australian company has now released the first set of atmospheric sounds for a D&D campaign: specifically Waterdeep: Dragon Heist Chapters 1 through 3.
Using the Syrinscape app, DMs can instantly establish an atmosphere of sounds on the table, covering every dark alley of the city of Waterdeep. There are even full spoken lines of dialogue delivered by the D&D RPG team.
Players will hear the notorious Volo as voiced by Chris Perkins, or the noble Renaer, beautifully acted by Mike Mearls, or a Gazer “voiced” by Satine Phoenix. In addition to the dialog, the SoundPack also includes a rollicking evening in Waterdeep’s notorious watering hole, the Yawning Portal, plus a thunderous Troll attack, a fully interactive Durnan the barkeep to buy drinks from or probe for information, Waterdeep in all four seasons and on Festival Day, a fully interactive Gnome shopkeeper, Kenku, Kobolds, Goblins, a squidgy Gray Ooze battle, weeping men and women and so much more.
“The Dungeons & Dragons RPG settings, creatures and characters are as beloved as the game itself and, as a player since the ’Red Box’ days, it’s particularly thrilling for me to create the sounds that will bring them to life,” says Benjamin Loomes, Syrinscape’s CEO. “Syrinscape is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and it’s truly an honor to launch the first official sounds of the truly legendary Dungeons & Dragons Roleplaying Game.”
There are several ways to get the Water Deep: Dragon Heist Soundscape pack. The easiest is to already be a SuperSyrin subscriber — the D&D pack will be instantly unlocked for you. The pack is also available with the new Dungeons and Dragons RPG subscription, which has a lower rate: $7.15 per month compared to SuperSyrin’s $10.99 per month. It’s also available by its lonesome if you don’t want to mess with subscriptions.
