Want to get your hands on the next Guilty Gear earlier than most? There’s a way…Arc System works just announced an open beta test for Guilty Gear Strive. The game itself won’t be out until later this year, but you can try out an early version next week, assuming you have a Playstation console (the fourth or the fifth). 13 characters will be playable (15 are in the game…..Anji Mito and an unrevealed character are the only ones missing). Unlike the closed beta from last year, this version of the game will have online netcode implemented (a system of data flow preferable to online fighting games because it keeps the timing of moves consistent on both sides). It’s the first Guilty Gear to use netcode, and you could be the first to try it out. Available Modes: Versus – Play against the CPU or another player. Want to get your hands on the next Guilty Gear super-early? There’s a way…Arc System works just announced a closed beta test for Guilty Gear Strive. The game itself won’t be out until later this year, but you can try out an early version next month! According to ASW, the beta will include seven playable characters: Sol, Ky, May, Axl, Chip, Potemkin, and Faust. Beta testers will be the first to see Guilty Gear Strive’s revised character screen and user interface. What they WON’T see is online play with rollback netcode (a system of data flow preferable to online fighting games because it keeps the timing of moves consistent on both sides). You’ll get to play online, don’t panic about THAT, but the rollback feature has just been announced by ASW, and is too early in development to be implemented. Arc World Tour, held annually, is a global tournament series centered around the fighting games produced by Arc System Works: BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Granblue Fantasy: Versus and more. This year, they’re teaming up with Evolution Championship Series 2020 (EVO) to produce a mega-sized tournament event. EVO will be the centerpiece of Arc World Tour 2020, a with Guilty Gear -Strive- tournament as the main attraction.
