Pokémon Art Academy To be Released In North America
Pokémon Art Academy a new Nintendo 3DS title that was originally only confirmed for a release in Japan will now arrive on North American shores sometime this fall. The game will be bringing two of Nintendo’s popular handheld franchises together — the monster-collecting Pokémon series and the instructional Art Academy game. Forty lessons will instruct players on how to bring their favorite pocket monster to life using a stylus on the 3DS screen. Lessons feature step-by-step guides on how to draw a number of Pokémon including: Pikachu, Oshawott, Charizard, Torchic, Fletchling, Fennekin and others yet revealed. Additionally the game will feature tips and tricks for translating players’ 3DS drawing skills into real-world 2D illustrations. Pokémon Art Academy will feature Free Paint and Quick Sketch modes where players can use more than 100 references pictures of Pokémon to draw them however they choose. Photos taken with the Nintendo 3DS camera can also be imported into the game and used as a reference. Completed artwork can then be shared locally with other Pokémon
