Cyberpunk 2077 had a rough start as a video game, but we’re told it’s a bit more respected now than it was on launch thanks to repeated patches and updates. It wasn’t a game CD Projekt Red could go back on anyway, having put all their eggs in that basket. It’s fared better on television with an anime based on the game, Cyberpunk Edgerunners, becoming a Netflix hit. Why not more? CD Projekt Red announced today they’re developing another Cyberpunk 2077 TV series, this one live-action. They’re partnering with Anonymous Content, a global media company with True Detective and Mr. Robot on its resume. Executives running the show will include Anonymous Content Studios’ Head of Television Garret Kemble, Director of Development Ryan Schwartz, and Chief Creative Officer David Levine. What the show will be about is currently unclear, and it may be too early for a plot to even exist. All we do know is that it’ll take place in the same world as the video game and anime do.

After years of massive hype, Cyberpunk 2077 was pretty much a flop, and the blame for that entirely belongs to CD Projekt red, the company that made it. The tumultuous development history is well-known at this point, with multiple versions of the game being scrapped until one was hastily put together under heavy and abusive crunch conditions. The finished game was a buggy, malfunctioning Hindenburg. That, however, isn’t stopping CDPR from building their next zeppelin! CDPR announced today a Cyberpunk sequel is in the works, along with four other titles. I know what you’re about to say…shouldn’t they finish the FIRST Cyberpunk before they even think about another one? You’re not the first to make that comment. The four other games are an original IP and a new trilogy of Witcher games. Given how long it takes CDPR to make just one game, it could take decades to get five done. We could be witnessing the schedule they have for the rest of our lives. It could actually be 2077

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is an Anime spin-off of the controversial video game, Cyberpunk 2077. Rather than adapting the events from the game, This Anime is an in-universe spin-off. Before the controversies of releasing a buggy game, There was so much hype for the game because of the trailer innovation, and Keanu Reeves was a cast member. It sold around 18 million copies in its first 15 months. So, the financial success is enough justification for making this Anime. Since the player customizes the game’s main character specifically for them, the plot is not adaptable. They choose a new story set in the same universe as a replacement. The one that shares the universe with this Anime is also known for nudity. I mean, you can even customize your character’s genital size and appearance. So it won’t be a shocker if you will see sex and nudity in the trailer. Do not watch at work and in the presence of your family. You do not want your mom or toddler relative to see you watching this trailer.

If you have a Ps4 and a PS5 simultaneously, Do not buy the Ps4 version of Cyberpunk 2077. Many Ps4 games look great and run smoothly on ps5. I was shocked by how smoothly Final Fantasy VII remake and Resident Evil 3 remakes go with ps5. The Xbox one version of the game also has the same problem. So if you have an Xbox series, X go for that version instead. It is the opposite of Cyberpunk 2077 because this is a Ps5 game. It doesn’t translate well to an older generation console. The ps4 port is getting a lot of complaints, and people are refunding their copies. We are in a pandemic so going to a store to refund a game is a bummer. To prove that the last-gen version of the game is not worth your money, here is a Ps1 and Minecraft looking scene from the last-gen version. Graphics like this should not be in a Ps4 game. Here is another glitchy mess of the ps4 version.

The good news is we got another Cyberpunk 2077 trailer today. The bad news is, it doesn’t market the game quite as well as the last few have. If this was the first look we ever got at Cyberpunk 2077, we would think the game must be some kind of first-person low-rent GTA clone. The below two minutes are nothing but wall-to-wall sex and violence, urban tough guys, guns and foul language. EDGY, BRO! i know this is set in the future, but we feel like we’ve been transported back in video game history at least ten years. Cyberpunk 2077, the long-anticipated RPG from CD Projekt Red of Witcher fame, has had its fair share of delays. The game takes its world and lore from a classic tabletop RPG, also called Cyberpunk, and its makers figured the excitement over the video game would be the perfect way to attract newcomers to the tabletop version. And so Cyberpunk Red was announced by R. Talsorian Games in June of 2019….its storyline is a prequel to the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, and connects the video game’s canon to the tabletop version. Just before Gamescom opened, Google announced a slate of upcoming titles for their Stadia video game streaming service, and confirmed at last that 2020’s most anticipated title, Cyberpunk 2077, would be on that service. The problem is, it won’t be immediate. From CD Projekt Red, creators of The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world action-adventure RPG in the grungy neon world of Night City. You’ll be playing V, a merc seeking what is rumored to be forbidden tech that could help humans live indefinitely. That’s the main goal, but as in The Witcher 3, there will be plenty of side distractions along the way.
