NESMaker is a PC software creator introduced last year that allows anyone to create their own fully functional game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The program creates an authentic .nes ROM that will run on any emulator, and even includes a “Burn” function that sends the data to a cart flasher (assuming you have a blank NES cartridge lying around).
While it is common for Microsoft to update the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows platforms regularly, they have generally neglected their websites so that destinations such as Xbox.com are nowhere near as useful as they could be. That looks set to change now though as the company has added a select few but highly requested features to the official Xbox website to make the browsing experience more complete.
Kalypso Media is inviting everyone to show off their inner dictators with the release of a PC demo of Tropico 4 today. The demo includes four tutorial missions and one campaign mission, which will set players on a quest to become the ultimate leader of a Caribbean island empire. (more…)

Ross McGrath writes: “A quick reminder that I can’t tell you release dates for games when a date hasn’t been announced by the publisher, so please, please don’t ask me – however I can tell you that Hoard, Under Siege, BTTF and Strong Bad: CGFAP all have preliminary internal release dates with us now – so the wait for these titles will (fingers crossed) not be a long one.”
