First Peek At Tomb Raider And Devil May Cry Anime
Two years ago Netflix announced they were producing more anime shows based around video games, after the success of their Castlevania cartoon. They signed deals with Capcom and Square Enix (at the time) to produce anime for Devil May Cry and Tomb Raider respectively. Today we got our first look at what both those shows will look like. There’s not much to the Devil May Cry anime trailer, just a few seconds of footage. It’s series protagonist Dante grinning, jumping around and firing his guns. We can’t glean much about the show from this, but presumably if it’s accurate, it would be as over the top as the game series is (that’s the hope anyway). Animation is being handled by Studio Mir, and Adi Shankar, who produced the Castlevania anime, is helming this one as well. Hideaki Itsuno, who’s been involved with several DMC titles, is also lending a hand. The Tomb Raider show is subtitled The Legend of Lara Croft and it takes place shortly after the most recent
