Xbox Game Pass Releases On June 1 For Xbox One
Microsoft’s new Netflix-like game service is set to launch on June 1. The Xbox Game Pass has been in beta testing or several weeks now and Xbox Live Gold members can get access to a 14-day trial right now, with the program going to launch for all users on the release date. Starting with a monthly price tag of $9.99/£7.99, players will get access to 100 different games immediately. These include Microsoft’s own first-party releases alongside a collection of titles from publishers such as Namco, Capcom, SEGA, 2K Games, and WB Games. Xbox Game Pass combines games from across both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles, with all of the offerings being backwards compatible. Unlike other similar services, Microsoft’s version works almost exactly like the EA Pass rather than PlayStation Now. This means users have to download the full data rather than stream the title.
