It’s 2016, and the release of the next UFC game from EA Sports, EA Sports UFC 2, is right around the corner. EA Sports officially confirmed today that the game will launch on March 15 in North America and March 17 worldwide. In addition, a new gameplay trailer for the game was released. At last night’s UFC 194 event, the main event title fight between former featherweight champion and new undisputed champion Conor McGregor had another unique stipulation added to the bout. The winner of the fight would be the other athlete to appear on the cover of EA Sports UFC 2 opposite former women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. With his win at the pay-per-view event, Conor McGregor is now confirmed to be the other athlete who will grace the upcoming game’s cover.
It looks like gold will not be the only thing on the line when UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor faces reigning featherweight champion Jose Aldo for the undisputed title at UFC 194. EA Sports has officially announced that the winner of the upcoming headliner for UFC 194 will be the second fighter to be on the cover of the upcoming EA Sports UFC 2 video game in 2016. As previously reported, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has already been confirmed as the other fighter on the cover. The winner of Jose Aldo vs. Conor McGregor will decide which fighter graces the cover opposite Rousey.
Earlier this week, EA Sports finally revealed that EA Sports UFC 2 is being developed for a 2016 release. Today, EA Sports confirmed that UFC superstar, MMA icon and trailblazer, women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, will grace the cover for the new game. This marks the first time a woman will be featured on the cover of a UFC game. EA has revealed through their forums that the latest patch for FIFA 15 is now available for PC and PlayStation 4. Xbox One users will have to wait a short time before being able to download the update and there was no word about whether it will be coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. According to the patch notes the second title update brings a number of important changes to the annual soccer game, including modifying the behaviour of goalkeepers and improvements to the shooting mechanic. This will be good news to long-time fans who felt that only the very best players were able hit the target on a regular basis, while goalkeepers have demonstrated a number of problems in catching the ball and being lobbed frequently.
Gaming giant Electronic Arts, better known as EA, today introduced a subscription gaming service called EA Access. The service will run at a low-price monthly fee, allowing access to games and exclusive demos from across EA’s development studios.

Long running boxing series, Fight Night has been put on hold due to EA Canada focusing all of their attention on the upcoming UFC game. Head of EA Sports, Andrew Wilson said it was because the team behind Fight Night had refocused towards the recently acquired rights to the UFC.
The Tiger Woods PGA Tour series has been very similar from year to year adding small features here and there to an already solid gameplay experience. This year introduces Total Swing Control which is being touted as the “most significant leap forward in swing mechanics in over a decade”.
