For The King Adds Endless Dungeon Mode Next Week

For The King is a unique strategy game from Curve Digital that features JRPG combat and roguelike features. All maps, events and quests are procedurally generated, making no two games the same. Now Curve is adding an Endless Dungeon mode so players can truly prove their mettle! Players will now be able to discover what lies beyond Hildebrant’s Cellar in an all new challenge mode. Those who delve deeper into the dungeon will unlock unique items and character customisation options. Adventurers will face new traps and square-off against fresh foes as they look to stop the heroes in their tracks. Three new Steam achievements have also been added to this update. For The King Has Arrived In Full On Steam With New Expansion

Video games go through many processes before going to release. Steam Early Access has been a boon to many game developers. And now, another is exiting its ranks. Mixing up a challenging blend of strategy, tabletop RPG, and rogue-like elements, For The King features both a single player experience as well as the ability for three heroes to play cooperatively both online and locally. Taking place in the gorgeous, hexagonal kingdom of Fahrul, players must strategically explore and battle their way through the fairytale, stylized landscape in a bid to discover and survive, lest they succumb to death. The game’s short run in Early Access allowed for new features to be tested, balanced and tweaked following suggestions from the community. As a result, IronOak Games have added a horde of new features including a Dungeon Crawl Mode, Discord integration, a whole host of multiplayer functionality and, of course, vital enemy and economy balancing. For The King Leaves Steam Early Access April 19

For The King is a roguelike RPG that utilizes strategy elements from tabletop games. Your main mission is to avenge the death of your king (hence the title), but as is typical of the genre, your real motive is to collect random treasure and explore as much of the procedurally generated levels as possible, in single player and co-op multiplayer modes. IronOak Games, developers of For The King, have been adding various features over the past few months based on player feedback. Now they have nearly completed the game and it will leave Steam Early Access on April 19. When the finished product appears, it’ll have some new content it didn’t before: the Frozen Expanse, which contains three new areas. When you explore The Shivering Woods, Frozen Expanse and the Frigid Sea, you’ll find two new dungeons, a new character to recruit, over 20 new enemies including two new Scourges, and lots more….including 10 new Steam Achievements.
