John Constantine May Become Full-Time Member of The Legends of Tomorrow

If there is one character who has suffered the most during the “superhero TV boom” that’s been going on the last six years or so, it’s John Constantine. The character was put on NBC for a season that really resonated with fans, but not enough for NBC to renew it. Then, to show faith in the character, the CW brought him in for a guest spot on Arrow in Season 04. But, fans wanted more. So, he got to be in the animated movie Justice League Dark (voiced by the actor who did the live-action take, Matt Ryan), and is about to get his own CW Seed series. He also guest starred in several episodes of Legends of Tomorrow (including one that aired last night). His chemistry was so immediate with the cast that fans begged for him to be made a full-time member. And…they might get their wish. Constantine Will Appear More Than Once On Legends Of Tomorrow

All is right with the world now that DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is running new episodes again. The series about D-list DC superheroes teaming up to fix time discrepancies (and sometimes create them) is arguably the highlight of The CW’s DC lineup, with its light breezy tone and chemistry between the characters. Let me put it this way…LoT is the only show of its brand where I can watch an entire episode without ever thinking a subplot is wasting my time or a particular character is a drag. One of the more interesting surprises in the DC TV universe has been the resurrection of John Constantine from his one-season NBC program. The same character, played by the same actor, was reintroduced in the fourth season of Arrow when he brought Sara Lance back to life. Eventually Lance became the captain of the Waverider on LoT, and this week she returned the favor to Constantine by letting him guest-star on the series. But now we’re hearing this won’t be the only

NYCC 2017: John Constantine Will Be In Legends Of Tomorrow

Ever since his failed NBC show, John Constantine has been asked to be in the CWverse via fans, and they go their wish in Season 04 of Arrow. But…it was only one episode, and he didn’t have that big of a role. So, with the arrival of Legends of Tomorrow, fans asked that the demon hunter/con man be allowed to come to that show. And the team were all for it, and it appears as though that’s going to happen in this upcoming season. Phil Klemmer, the showrunner of Legends of Tomorrow, noted to Rotten Tomatoes some things about season 03 of the show, and the last line is what you’re looking for: “We get Billy Zane and the circus [in the second episode]; we get a little Julius Caesar on the beach in Aruba in the premiere,” he said. “We meet [new team member] Zari in this sort of dystopian future. NBC Releases First Photo of ‘Constantine’

Pretty cool, huh? Looks like it’s going to be about some kind of giant. Like, a really rich giant. That eats castles. Oh, they mean the guy in the trench coat. Not the emperor. Well. I guess in this getup Matt Ryan looks, at least superficially, like John Constantine. He’s way too clean, and that smoke suspiciously isn’t coming from a cigarette, but it’s certainly more faithful to comic book Constantine than the Keanu Reeves version was. And Sting, the person Constantine’s appearance was based on, is too old to do it. The producers of the pilot are also making the right noises. David S. Goyer told Variety that this version would be faithful to the comics. “I’ve been a fan of John Constantine since he was first introduced in 1985.
