Legion, the most nonsensical superhero-based television series since Superfriends, has a guaranteed third season coming up. However, showrunner Nathan Hawley just confirmed it will be the last.
In 2018, Beetlejuice celebrates its’ 30th anniversary. The movie won an Oscar for Best Makeup, and one of the winners of that award was my next interview subject, Robert Short. Robert Short is an acclaimed visual effects artist who has worked on a wide variety of projects, from the Spielberg movies 1941 and E.T The Extra-Terrestrial to Splash and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. For a while, all evidence seemed to point to FX cancelling Legion after its second season (currently running right now). It’s getting abysmal ratings numbers, but the last thing we heard from the cable channel was that they were adding another episode onto the Season 2 order. Fans didn’t interpret this as a good thing — more like “they must have been given that extra episode to wrap up the series.”
Earlier in the week, Marvel revealed a new duo of comics spinning out of the X-Men side of things. The first was Rogue & Gambit, and the second was Legion. Now, via a panel at New York Comic Con, we know who will be the creative team behind the Legion comic.
Arguably one of the best comic book series that has come out recently is Legion. The tale of the son of Professor Xavier arrived on FX in grand fashion, and its first season stunned a lot of people with just how good it was. So, at San Diego Comic Con the cast and crew took the stage to talk about things involving Legion Season 02. For example, would Professor X ever show up? According to them, they’re working on it.
During the Legion panel at New York Comic Con, the first 20 minutes of the premiere was displayed for all who were at the panel.
The X-Men franchise is set to be just the second comic series to have both movie and TV interpretations. For the TV, that comes in the form of Legion, which is based on a mutant, who in the comics is Charles Xavier’s son, who has a plethora of powers, and a several mental disorder.
The first X-Men TV series, which is set to debut on FX in 2017, hit SDCC to show off its first official trailer.
Fox dropped some bombshells last week when it announced that they were making two spinoffs of the X-Men franchise for television. One of which would be titled “Legion” which for those who know X-Men is the codename of Professor Xavier’s son, based off his mental disorder and the numerous abilities he’s able to have. From the moment of the announcement, many have wondered if these shows would interconnect with the X-Men films.
