Peacock Renews Twisted Metal For Second Season
One of the many, many surprises of last night’s Game Awards was Anthony Mackie, star of Peacock’s Twisted Metal TV series, walking onstage and confirming a second season of the show after performing a weird act where he pointed and made random noises at various crowd members. We didn’t get what that was about, but more TM is fine with us. Twisted Metal premiered last summer with a first season of ten episodes. The show follows John Doe (Mackie), a hotshot delivery boy in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity lives in walled-off cities to protect themselves from the maniacs roaming the wastelands (like this one nut in a clown mask). John is promised residency in one of the cities if he can pull off a tricky delivery run — this is a lie, but he doesn’t know. He meets Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz), a woman on a mission of revenge, who at first resembles her namesake but eventually is anything BUT quiet. The show is based loosely on the car combat
