If since Journey: Collector’s Edition was spotted during E3 two weeks ago you’ve been wondering what it is, what it’ll include, when it’ll release and what it’ll cost, you’ll be pleased to know that the first two of these questions have now been answered by developer thatgamecompany.
The indie studio posted the following to its Twitter page today in response to a fan’s enquiry:
“@AuburnRDM Yes, the #JourneyPS3 Collector’s Edition is a thing, and it includes #flOwPS3 and #FlowerPS3, but we can’t say anything more.”
Anyone who read our review of Journey will know that we adored tgc’s enchanting downloadable title. When it becomes available to purchase together with flOw and Flower, two enjoyable, emotional and enlightening interactive experiences that received abundant complimentary reviews from critics, it will be even easier to recommend.
We intend to keep a keen eye on @thatgamecompany in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to TheParanoidGamer for updates.
UPDATE (June 22nd, 2012): PlayStation: The Official Magazine Editor-in-Chief Roger Burchill has tweeted that the US version of August’s issue features an advertisement for Journey: Collector’s Edition. On inspection of the photo attached to his post, said ad reads that the bundle will also include a one-month PlayStation Plus membership, original soundtracks, exclusive mini-games, a documentary and “much more”.
