The Legend of Zelda: New Music Video Cover of Ocarina of Time Theme
If you are a fan of The Legend of Zelda series, you might want to check out a new music video released today based on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s opening theme. YouTubers Jillian Aversa and Erutan performed a new rendition of the theme, entitled “Chrysalis,” and you can check out the music video collaboration in the player below.
The song was arranged by Aversa and her husband, Andrew Aversa. The song features some otherworldly lyrics and vocal work alongside Erutan’s ocarina, harp and glockenspiel music performances and also features some elaborate costumes based on the game.
Speaking on the music video in a press release, Jillian Aversa stated: “After taking a more literal approach with the characters in my second Zelda music video last year, I wanted to return to a freer interpretation for this one. When I think of the Zelda games, I don’t just picture Link and Zelda, but the whole world of Hyrule — with all its magic and charm. What does this world look like from the perspective of the critters that inhabit it? That is the question that inspired our video concept. Kate and I each play three different animal characters, all coming together to witness the metamorphosis of a moth.”
Erutan added: “The location was a gorgeous pocket of Maryland forest untouched by the houses built around it. My biggest challenge was walking through the brush in a long dress, attempting to look like a graceful forest animal while trying not to trip over the thorny vines, fallen logs, and other forest floor goodies. Jillian was much better at this than me,” she laughs. “We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly!”
The music video was directed by Landon Donoho.

The video was beautifully made, the character props were flawless and the setting was very fitting to the whole Zelda theme. I wish there was more of this talented fan art videos around
