The Living Corpse Lives Again In Graphic Novel Sequel
It’s hard to keep down something that won’t die (or is already dead). Buz Hasson and Blair Smith, the writer and artist behind the Living Corpse graphic novel series, are currently crowdfunding a new chapter: The Living Corpse: Relics. Here’s what we know….
After the events of The Living Corpse: Exhumed, our undead hero has left his job as the Gatekeeper between the world of the living and the monsters that live in the shadows. Now living in a Monsterary in Tibet, The Living Corpse is called back into action when an ancient evil with ties to the Living Corpse’s past rises from the tombs of ancient Egypt.
Also, the young Vampire, Lilith goes on a search for her fellow Nosferatu to see if she is truly the last of her kind. And she might just regret that decision.
All of this as well as we learn more about Asteroth’s ties to the Gatekeepers and we find out exactly how John Romero died!
Uh…..John Romero is still alive, as far as I know, spending his evenings sleeping on a pile of unsold Daikatana copies. But anyway….
The best thing about the project is that this is a way for Living Corpse fans to nab real merchandise for what is a currently niche series. Contributing can potentially get you magnets, masks, bust sculptures and collectible figures. Beer cozies, window clings and a bumper sticker that says “I Ate Your Honor Student” are also possible if stretch goals are met.
The project just launched, but it’s about 1/3 of the way to its goal already. Contribute to The Living Corpse: Relics here, and keep watching for more.
