The Minotaur Approaches In Threshold
Prolific Pictures has announced that they’re beginning pre-production work on Threshold, a new horror-fantasy film they hope to release sometime in 2019.
Once upon a time, possibly last week, a gang of rowdy college kids decided to break into the mansion of the Dean and mess around. Unfortunately the last thing they ever expected to happen just happened: as they wander through the hallways, they find that they don’t end. The house has been turned into a magical labyrinth and somewhere roaming its halls is a deadly and hungry minotaur. It’s an interesting spin on a very, very old tale, using the familiar to make the classics new again.
Threshold was written by George Kaplan and Michael Hayes and Brian Kelly Jones are serving as producers. The project is early enough in development that a director hasn’t been chosen yet, nor has a cast been found. That embarrassing drawing up above isn’t from the movie either — it’s a piece of public domain clip art.
But Prolific is currently shopping distribution rights around at Cannes, so if a deal is struck, you could be hearing more about Threshold soon.
