The Tale of Doris and The Dragon Coming To Android, iOS
Indie gaming development company, Arrogant Pixel, has announced their first mobile title will be making its debut in autumn 2016.
The Tale of Doris and The Dragon, a point and click adventure game, is an episodic series featuring an elderly lady named Doris, who finds herself in Purgatory after passing away on earth. It can be described as a thoughtful and fantastical vision of life after death. The game has also gotten a new trailer, which you can see below.
The brand new trailer showcases the best game features, such as the retro feel which is reminiscent of the unforgettable 90s classics. With a quirky narrative and minimalist interface, the point and click style of game makes it easy for players to explore the world that Doris finds herself in.
On her journey, Doris meets many weird and wonderful characters that help or try to hinder her progress. Out of this, an unlikely friendship emerges. With this unique gameplay perfectly adapted to mobile, The Tale of Doris and The Dragon will revolutionise the gaming experience.
Ben Simpson, Founder and Lead Designer, said about The Tale of Doris and The Dragon:
“This point and click adventure game was created out of sheer determination; a passion to take a game genre we cared about and do it justice. We wanted to create a game that we were proud of and had poured all of our love, time and creativity into. And that’s how Doris was born in January 2015.”
Music and sound design has been important throughout the process in every game created at Arrogant Pixel, according to the developers. The Tale of Doris and The Dragon is no exception, with a haunting soundtrack by Assad. B. Foley and sound design by Ryan Callard. Jay Shin, Designer and Producer of The Tale of Doris and The Dragon said:
“The reviews we received when we released the early version completely blew us away. Multiple people claimed that it was the best game that they had ever played and reached out to us from all over the world. We hope that they enjoy the final game when we launch later this year.”
