The X-Files: First Teaser Trailer Released for Show’s Upcoming Revival
In case you did not know yet, classic and much beloved sci-fi TV series, The X-Files, is set to soon return to TV with a new season of episodes. The show has been off the air for over a decade, a second movie was released in 2008 with The X-Files: I Want to Believe. The FOX Network has released a first, 15-second teaser trailer for the upcoming new season of The X-Files. You can check out the video of the brief look at the show’s return below.
There is no dialogue in the teaser, but there are some teasing glimpses and clips for the show’s pending revival, including the return of David Duchovny as Fox Mulder and Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully. One particular shot shows a foot stepping on Mulder’s classic “I want to believe” UFO poster. There’s also the return of Mark Snow’s classic theme. Besides the classic FBI duo, Mitch Pileggi is set to return as Walter Skinner, and William B. Davis will return as enigmatic Cigarette Smoking Man. The footage is brief, but it should certainly whet the appetites of fans who were never quite satisfied with how the show ended back in 2002.
The X-Files returns to TV for its upcoming revival on FOX on January 24, 2016.
