TimeSplitters 2 HD was in development four years ago
Steve Ellis, Co-founder of ex-videogames developer Free Radical, has revealed that his team was working on a high-definition version of TimeSplitters 2 in 2008 before Crytek acquired the studio.
Speaking to Not Enough Shaders yesterday, the now Managing Director at Crash Lab was asked if he’d like to see the original TimeSplitters games distributed digitally via Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, and Wii U’s eShop, to which he responded:

We had an ‘HD’ downloadable version of TimeSplitters 2 in development at Free Radical in 2008. I don’t know what happened to that but yes, I’d love to see it released at some point.

Ellis went on to say the release of TS2 HD could help to generate more interest in the TimeSplitters 4 Facebook campaign, and in turn prompt a publisher to fund its development.
Tell us: does the possibility of playing either title one day give you the good feelings?
