Tom Holland on Potential Future Spider-Man Movie Villains
Tom Holland has already made his debut as the next Spider-Man, but his first solo movie is coming out this July in Spider-Man: Homecoming. The upcoming will feature the live-action debut of Vulture, played by Michael Keaton. Should it be successful, the question then becomes: Who will be the next villain for the movies? The obvious answer would be the Green Goblin, but that character has already had two roles in two different Spider-Man film series, so that might be too much of a rehash. Speaking with CinePop, star Holland let loose a few names that he’d like to see in potential future sequels to the upcoming comic book movie.
Holland stated, “There’s so many good villains, I really like Mysterio, I like Kraven. I really like the ‘Clone Saga.’ I think it could be really cool if Peter, or Spider-Man has to fight people with the same powers as him. Spider-Woman’s super cool. … I think she’s called Spider-Girl, who is his clone. They kind of like hit it off and they take their masks off and they’re like… [shocked look] What the hell! They’re like the same person, but she’s just a girl. I think that’s really cool.”
Kraven would definitely be cool to see in live-action, if done right, and Mysterio would be perfect for this CGI world we now live in. Spider-Man: Homecoming arrives in theaters on July 5.
