It Took Four Hours To Fund The Fruit Ninja Tabletop Game
Last week we told you about board game publisher Lucky Duck Games and their project to translate the phone app Fruit Ninja into a tabletop game….THREE tabletop games, in fact. To get part of the funding secured, they turned to Kickstarter. This move has been very….shall we say, fruitful.
Lucky Duck reached their $10,000 goal in just four hours, and they’ve doubled their earnings over the initial goal since we last checked in. As of today, they’ve broken through five stretch goals already. The Fruit Ninja board game comes in three flavors: Card Master, Slice & Dice and Combo Party.
“We are thrilled to have reached our Kickstarter campaign goal which will enable Lucky Duck Games to start the production of all 3 Fruit Ninja Tabletop games and deliver the first batch of product to early backers in August 2018,” says Lucky Duck founder Vincent Vergonjeanne. “We feel extremely thankful towards the financial support we have received from board game players and Fruit Ninja fans all over the world. There is still time for everyone interested in the Fruit Ninja tabletop Game Series to pledge for the game sets and help us unlock more content!”
The campaign is far from over and the three Fruit Ninja tabletop games are still for presale now on Kickstarter. A $29 pledge gets you Card Master, pledging $54 or more means Card Master and Slice & Dice, and a $69 pledge is worth all three games plus all unlocked stretch goals. The campaign has reached over $20,000 with 15 days remaining.
