“Track ‘em, find ‘em, kill ‘em” in The Expendables 2 videogame
Developer and publisher Ubisoft has announced that a downloadable title based on the sequel to 2010’s box office hit The Expendables will be coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC this summer via each platform’s respective digital store.
Uniting four of the world’s toughest mercenaries, Barney Ross, Gunner Jensen, Hale Caesar and Yin Yang, the game promises to provide a high-octane, over-the-top action experience faithful to Lionsgate and Millennium Films’ Expendables franchise. The adventure concludes right where the new movie begins, taking gamers on a dangerous mission to retrieve a kidnapped (and extremely valuable) billionaire. According to the official press release we received this morning, “it’s all business until hell breaks loose and the explosive mix of testosterone and kerosene detonates in a massive fireball that never lets up”. A must for ‘chick flick’ fans, then…
Players will be able to join forces with up to three friends, locally or online, and engage in a campaign packed with chaotic gunfights, close-quarters scuffles and intense vehicle combat. There will also be a variety of score-based challenges available to complete, catering to those who love nothing more than topping an online leaderboard.
