Will Need For Speed Reboot Match Battlefront in Graphics?
For many, the looks of a video game are very important. This especially holds true for games that want to go for the true “realism” that many a modern title strive for.
In racing titles, you usually get a mixed bag between those that want to look like the real world, and ones that go for flash and flair. The Need For Speed reboot is apparently going for the former, as it’ll be using the Frostbite engine this go round. That’s right, it’ll be using the same engine as the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront. As stated by Dice’s Johan Andersson.
“Our next @NeedForSpeed by @GhostGamesEA running on the same version of @FrostbiteEngine as Battlefront!”
Not only will the title be good graphically, but Ghost Games are really striving to make this reboot something special, promising, “deep customisation, authentic urban car culture, a nocturnal open world, and an immersive narrative that pulls you through the game,”
Their desire to make this game as detailed and deep was noted when they actually refused to release a Need For Speed game last year. They had the option, but instead chose to let Ghost Games take their time and make a true spectacular title. We’ll see if their hard work pays off when it releases.
