William Dafoe Talks Aquaman Role
After Justice League airs in November, the next DCEU film will be Aquaman, which will air in December 2018. While the film will star Jason Momoa, the film is also packed with A-list stars like Nicole Kidman and William Dafoe. Dafoe will play Vulko, who in the comics is an Atlantean who is very loyal to Arthur Curry. Dafoe chatted with IGN about his role, and the film itself, and he had some praises for its director, James Wan:
“James Wan is fantastic. I don’t know what to tell you because I don’t want to create any spoilers. I’ve been on a little break after shooting for a couple of months off. And now, tonight I go back to Australia to shoot for about another month. But all goes well…Until people actually start seeing footage, I don’t want to spoil anything.”
Vulko will be seen in Justice League, but no footage of the character, nor any shots of the set have been revealed yet, though Dafoe can’t say much, he says he likes his look in the film:
“The day that they show the shot of the character will accomplish more than I can by talking about it now. I like the look very much, and know they released a toy recently. But it doesn’t look so much what I look like [in the film].”
Hopefully we’ll see and hear more about what’s coming for the Aquaman film as Justice League gets closer.
