A cult classic has returned for gamers. DotEmu and developer Lizardcube officially announced today that Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is now available for Windows PC. You can also check out the launch trailer for the game in the player below.
The game is now available for PC via Steam for $19.99. Previously, Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap was available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch. Now, PC players can enjoy the game as well. The game features some beautiful hand-drawn animations. The new PC version also boasts a re-orchestrated soundtrack.
Other features for the game include large, interconnected locations filled with monsters and dragons. Players can control several characters, all who have their own abilities, such as Lizard-Man, Mouse-Man, Piranha-Man, Lion-Man, and Hawk-Man. Players can also play as Wonder Boy, or his brand new co-star, Wonder Girl. The PC version also includes three difficulty levels for players to choose from.
Another interesting feature is how gamers can switch from a throwback version with 8-bit graphics and audio at any time during the gameplay. This is powered by the Retro Feature Steam Trading cards.
Besides Steam, PC players can also check out Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap on GOG and Humble for $19.99.
