Wonder Woman Will Film This Fall, Justice League Begins Filming in Spring
We are edging closer to the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which will kickstart a (potentially) long line of DC films in a connected universe. That being said, aside from it and Suicide Squad, none of the other films have confirmed start dates for filming. That is, until the latest issue of Empire magazine, where they do an in-depth look at the upcoming films, including Wonder Woman and Justice League, where they note when they’ll start filming:
“Logistically it is staggering. As Batman V Superman gains its coat of special effects, and the various stages of editing, scoring, grading and sound mixing are completed, Deborah Snyder, along with Roven, is watching over a sandbox that stretches around the world. Jenkins is in London prepping Wonder Woman, which will shoot there this autumn. Suicide Squad, already well underway in Toronto under the earthy gaze of Ayer, will shoot through to September. “I do watch the dailies,” she promises, enthusing about the film’s “street quality.” They are already doing soft prep for the Justice League, which will begin shooting in the spring, and overseeing the script for Aquaman, which James Wan will direct. – Empire (via @Steele131)”
This confirmation will put a lot of peoples minds at ease, as this confirms the wheels are finally beginning to turn for the long run of this DC Universe in cinema. It all starts with Batman v Superman, which it arrives March 25th, 2016. The first Justice League movie is scheduled for a November 10, 2017 release date.
