Wonder Woman Won’t Have Post-Credits Scene
As we get ever closer to June, all eyes are on the Wonder Woman film from Warner Bros. and DC Comics. This movie is important for many different reasons. A lot of people feel that the DCEU needs a critical (as well as financial) hit in order to have any hopes of continuing beyond certain films. Not to mention that this is the first female-led film in the modern superhero film era. But for those hoping that the film will do a now superhero tradition…you will be disappointed.
It’s been confirmed that Wonder Woman won’t have a post-credits scene. This comes straight from producer Charles Roven, who spoke about this to CinemaBlend:
“I’m not going to say we’d never do one,” Roven hinted. “There was one in Suicide Squad. But I don’t think that we want to feel that we’re forced to do something just because we didn’t in the past.”
If you recall, two of three past DCEU movies didn’t have post-credits sequences either via Man of Steel and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Suicide Squad though did have one sequence showing Amanda Waller helping Bruce Wayne by giving him files on the future Justice League members.
Is this a bad thing? I don’t think so. Yes, these scenes are nice, but they aren’t required. After all, the main movie is what we’re going to be talking about, one way or another.
Wonder Woman arrives June 2nd.
