ZombiU – First Look
ZombiU has become the surprise hit of E3 2012, with a mix of survival horror and innovative game play can Ubisoft finally deliver Nintendo fans a quality launch title?
Arguably the most exciting game to come out E3 this year. A Wii U exclusive survival horror game from Ubisoft, formerly known as Killer Freaks From Outer Space. The game is set in London in 2012 where a Zombie outbreak occurs. Not only does it make innovative use of the controller with single and online gameplay, but also lacks save points, and checkpoints. If you leave your current game, your character dies and you must start building up your XP again. Sounds awesome!

No saves or checkpoints and having to start anew every time will likely put a lot of people off – it’s basically a first-person zombie shooter roguelike, which sounds pretty cool to me, but I won’t be getting a Wii U anyway.

There’s a little confusion about the ability to save. Once you’ve completed a level you will be able to save your progress, but you will start off with a new character each time.
It sounds absolutely awesome, and if marketed the right way could be a catalyst for sales. The genre needs something new and it’s certainly not getting that from ‘Call of Resident Evil’

Sounds pretty damn cool to me, but I’m just not all that interested in the Wii U.

Definitely one of the more interesting games coming to Wii U for me, and it’s from Ubisoft so it should at least be halfway decent!

With regards to Ubisoft you seem to be more of a “glass is half full”, versus my “glass is half empty”. They’re certainly improving my opinion of them following this E3
