Amiibo: Target Only Allowing Two Characters Per Customer for May 29
Amiibo fans should be gearing up for a stressful and hectic shopping day if early reports are any indication. Per a leaked Target memo for store associates on TheTanooki.com, there is some new information for the upcoming sale of new Splatoon, Silver Mario and fourth wave of Super Smash Bros. Amiibos at Target on May 29.
According to the memo, lines are anticipated at many stores, and associates are planning to hand out numbers or alternative methods in order to avoid a rush. Not only that, customers will only be allowed to purchase two characters. And this does not mean two of each. No customer will be allowed to buy more than two Amiibos period. Unless I am misinterpreting the report or memo, if you are planning to buy more than two Amiibos at the same Target on May 29, you are out of luck. So pick your selections from Target wisely.
Low-tier Target stores will not receive any stock of the Lucina and Robin Amiibo figurines. However, rain checks will be offered on them. Stock on the new Amiibos will not be replenished until next week. Target is also listing the Splatoon Amiibo three-park as an accessory for the game and not under figures.
