Cavill States DC Comics Has “Big Plan” For Upcoming Movie Slate After Batman v Superman
We’re slowly but surely edging towards March, and with that comes the second movie in the new DC Comics movie universe (remember, it started with Man of Steel). As more and more details become revealed of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Justice League, Green Lantern Corps and more, you have to wonder, does DC have a plan for how they’ll all tie together?
The reason many ask this is because if you recall Phase One of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, they had a clear goal: Each of the solo movies would lead to the Avengers being formed. Phase 2 was showing the fallout from Avengers, and Phase Three (at least it’s suspected) is about transitioning from one group to another and the Infinity War with Thanos.
But what about DC Comics? Well, during an interview with Uproxx.com, Superman himself Henry Cavill stated that not only does DC have a plan, it’s a big one:
“There’s a big plan in place at WB for the whole DC franchise. So, all of this stuff ties in. They’re not thinking from movie to movie, they’re thinking from a big tent pole type thing and each story has its own story, which is attached to the major issue. Yeah, there’s a big plan.”
It appears things really are in place for something big. Whether it’ll happen though depends on the performance of the movies, which of course starts with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, on March 25, 2016.
