Link Will Guest-Star In Monster Hunter Generations
In Monster Hunter Generations (coming soon to 3DS) there are cat-like companions that follow you called Palicos. Much of MHG’s announced DLC has to do with alternate costumes for these characters. This explanation is why Link can be added to the game as a playable character.
Given that we’re talking about a cat wearing a full-body Link suit, it explains why the hero of Hyrule is moving so erratically, running around on all fours and swiping at enemies with his “paws.” It’s odd to see. Link has his Master Sword and shield, but they aren’t functional….just part of the costume.
This DLC is free and joins such other tonally off yet awesome additions as Mega Man, Amaterasu from Okami, Strider and several Fire Emblem characters. Monster Hunter Generations comes out for 3DS on July 15, and to help make up your mind (if Link didn’t clinch it for you) a demo is available now for free.
