Batman v Superman: Watch a Revealing Deleted Scene
[AN: This article contains minor spoiler discussion if you haven’t seen Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.]
t’s already been announced that Zach Snyder plans on releasing a longer, R-rated director’s cut for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. A great deal of material was left out of the film and will be restored for this version. However, until that time, viewers can get an early taste of this version because Warner Bros. Pictures has released a clip from a deleted scene that did not make it into the theatrical cut. You can check out the video below.
The clip is titled “Communion,” and it depicts soldiers infiltrating the wrecked Kryptonian ship, where it seems that Lex Luthor has been incommunicado with a rather sinister-looking alien creature. Some suspect that this creature is Steppenwolf, an emissary and general for Darkseid, a tyrant and conqueror from Apokolips. Scenes in the film might make a little more sense now after seeing this because it clarifies certain details. Specifically, it shows exactly what Lex Luthor was talking about when he was in prison when he talked about setting off a bell to an evil villain who is coming to attack Earth. This creature could very well be the harbinger of Darkseid. It’s obviously not Darkseid himself. If it was, we’d have probably known it was.
Batman v Superman; Dawn of Justice is out now in theaters.
