Bully 2 In The Works?
In an interview with Gamasutra, Dan Houser hints that Bully may be making its return before long.
Rocktar’s Dan Houser had some interesting thoughts pertaining to why it’s taken so long for Bully 2 to appear, here’s what he said:
“Basically we have been meaning to start [Max Payne 3] for a while, but we have limited bandwidth and limited studios, and more games to make than we’ve started. So suddenly it was a good slot,”
He also stated that his company likes to take a break between sequels to gauge feedback and see where the team can improve.
“Also, contrary to a lot of people, we like to take a little bit of time at the end of a game before starting a sequel, so we can wait for the excitement or disappointment and everything else of the experience to shake down and really see what we should do in the next game,”
He then sad that Rockstar Vancouver would likely begin production on Bully 2 when Max Payne 3 has been completed.
“So we said, ‘You can do Max, and then we will see what we can do with Bully.’ So it was really waiting for the slot to open up and the group to open up to at least start work on it.”
So there you have it, Bully 2 looks to be in the works for Rockstar Vancouver’s next project however, it’s likely years away from seeing a definitive release window.
