Call of Duty: Ghosts Officially Announced
After Tesco Direct’s Call of Duty leak debacle last week, Activision has gone ahead with an official press release on the next installment of Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty franchise, this one titled Ghosts.
Check out the accompanying teaser trailer-
After last week’s leak, a common theory, easily based off of the box art which sports a rather familiar masked-figure, was that the game would focus on a Modern Warfare 2 protagonist, Ghost. However, this has now more or less been debunked, with Activision listing all the newness we are going to encounter.
“The new title delivers a riveting all-new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story,
setting and cast of characters, all powered by a new,
next generation Call of Duty engine that redefines the series for the next generation.”
For the exclusive debut of the game, tune into Microsoft’s unveiling event for the next-gen Xbox on May 21 at 10 AM PDT, airing on Xbox.com, SPIKE TV, and Xbox LIVE.
As for release dates, we’ve got those too. The PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 versions will be released on November 5th. However, promises have been made for next-gen releases as well, so you might just want to hold off on the pre-order button, which, by the way, is now available for clicking at your leisure.

Did that trailer remind anyone else of a National Geographic magazine? Or was that just nerdy old me?
