With each new season of a DC Comics superhero show comes more potential to get more and more A or B-list heroes/villains into the fold. After the events of Flash Season 03, we know that the Star Labs team are going to be thinking big in terms of “replacing” Barry Allen after he entered the Speed Force. However, a new casting has seemingly confirmed a new character will be on the team, one that has a huge DC Comics presence.

This comes from ThatHashTagShow, which lists this casting:

“Male, Mid to late 30s, Open Ethnicity. Think Ryan Reynolds or Chris Pratt, Ralph has the ability to stretch his body to super-human lengths and sizes…however, while resculpting his old body is easy to do, Dibny finds losing the old misguided sense of truth and slobbery, even after joining the team at S.T.A.R. Labs, is a far more difficult task to accomplish. MAJOR RECURRING GUEST STAR WITH A SERIES REGULAR OPTION FOR NEXT SEASON”

Ralph Dibny is known in DC Comics as the Elongated Man. Who has been a part of the DCU longer than you might think. He has been part of the Justice League, and has been shown on two different DC Comics animated series. For him to be making his live-action debut is interesting though, as his powers (think Mr. Fantastic) will no doubt be a stretch for a TV SFX budget. But, I guess we’ll wait and see how it looks when he arrives this season.

That's good for children need to have a stress relief too. I remember when I was young there was Superman, Superwoman, Wonder Woman, Lone Ranger and Flash Gordan and I liked watching them for it gave me a sense of the world is safe. Even to day I watch NCIS and all its spin offs and Blue Blood for the same reason. Guess we all need stress relievers no matter what age we are.

Plastic man is going to add some fun to the story. Not sure how they are going to get the animation properly. I mean those type of animated scenes would be costly for TV series. I think they need to add some superhero like Lantern or maybe captain atom etc. That would surely add fun to the series. I am going to keep tab on the series on how it develops and eventually brings the Original flash, grant gustin back to the show.
