Ezra Miller Talks Being In Flash and Fantastic Beasts
Ezra Miller has certain grown in visibility of the last few years, he’s now officially the Flash in the DCEU, even having a cameo in Suicide Squad. And he’ll be in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as the mysterious Credence.
Miller talked with Pottermore about how he landed the role in Beasts:
“So I’d heard about the part and remember that to me – someone who got into Harry Potter so young, as a fan – I thought this was a universe that had been closed to me forever,” he started.
“I improvise this character and I get a call two days later from David Yates,” he explained. “By then, I had become so invested in that character and, if you look back at those tapes, I had already become Credence. There is so much of what I’ve done as Credence that just came to me that day.”
There was a catch though, since he was cast as Flash first, and Credence second, there were issues with scheduling:
“At that stage I’d already signed up to become [DC Comics character] The Flash and there were serious scheduling issues. For a while it looked like I wouldn’t be able to do this movie.”
He did his part though to make sure it could happen, and Warner Bros. helped out too:
“They move mountains,” he said. “Big, huge mountains are moved and we make it work.”
Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Comes out this November, and Ezra will return as Flash in Justice League next year.
