Outlast 2 Demo Released for Free
Red Barrels Entertainment announced today that gamers can now download the Outlast 2 demo for free. The free demo is available now on Steam PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This is the same demo showcased to players in attendance at PAX East, E3 and Gamescom, but now gamers can try it in the comfort of their own home.
The demo will be available as a free download until Tuesday, November 1 in honor of this being Halloween month. The demo features a sneak peek for the upcoming sequel. Additionally, Red Barrels plans to reveal more features and environments in the coming months. An Outlast comic book series, The Murkoff Account, was also recently started. It’s currently released two out of five issues for a planned miniseries. The story bridges the gap between the two games.
Outlast 2 does not have an official release date as of yet. Here’s an official synopsis and some new screens for the game:
You are Blake Langermann, a cameraman working with your wife, Lynn. The two of you are investigative journalists willing to take risks and dig deep to uncover the stories no one else will dare touch. You’re following a trail of clues that started with the seemingly impossible murder of a pregnant woman known only as Jane Doe. The investigation has lead you miles into the Arizona desert, to a darkness so deep that no one could shed light upon it, and a corruption so profound that going mad may be the only sane thing to do.

I would play it if the first part didn't give me a heart attack already 🙂
