Rogue One: Latest Trailer Shows Glimpse of Darth Vader
Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm debuted a new trailer tonight for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story during NBC’s Olympic Games coverage. That trailer has now been released online, and you can check it out in the player below. New footage is revealed in this story of the unlikely heroes who are united in order to steal the plans for the sinister Death Star.
There’s quite a bit of new material here. Of course, there’s also an amazing glimpse toward the end of the trailer for the one and only Darth Vader. So fans will once again get to see one of cinema’s greatest villains on the big screen yet again this year. There’s also a lot more of Alan Tudyk’s new droid character, K-2SO, who looks like he will be the rather blunt comic relief for the overall narrative.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story arrives in theaters on December 16. The film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, and Forest Whitaker. Rogue One is directed by Gareth Edwards, produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur, and Simon Emanuel, executive produced by John Knoll and Jason McGatlin, and co-produced by John Swartz and Kiri Hart.
