Teen Titans Go! Getting Film In 2018
Teen Titans Go! is a touchy subject among fans of the characters. On one hand, it’s a “spin-off” of the original beloved cartoon that ran on Cartoon Network for many seasons. A show that to this day is held in high acclaim for its deep storytelling and characterizations of the Titans themselves. However, with Go!, they went very cartoony, to the point that many fans were not happy with the results.
Gone were the deep stories, and in were 11-minute joke stories revolving around the characters of Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Raven. Despite having the original 5 voice actors (and actresses) back, the show made a lot of fans angry. And yet, it’s about to reach 200 episodes on Cartoon Network, so it’s a success in every stretch of the imagination. Which, is likely why Warner Bros. has announced that a full-length film of Teen Titans Go! is coming to the big screen in 2018.
Not much is known about the film itself, but, I’m guessing it’ll try and pull something like the Lego films have done of late, or even the upcoming My Little Pony film. Most likely it’ll bring the voice cast from the TV show, as they’re the real stars here. Either way, it’s going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.
