Young Justice Gets Third Season
Young Justice was for many the peak of storytelling in regards to DC Comics characters. Blending a young team with the classic Justice League as their guides, deep villains and storylines, and plenty of twists and turns, it was something to behold. Until it got cancelled after two seasons.
However, years after its end, fans worked and pleaded for Cartoon Network, or even Netflix to bring it back. Now, it’s been officially revealed that Young Justice is getting a third season. One that promises “new twists, turns and dangerous new threats for the team, but most importantly, the opportunity for fans to finally continue the adventures of some of their favorite Super Heroes.”
“The affection that fans have had for Young Justice, and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us,” said Sam Register, President, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, in a statement. “We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series.”
Along with presumably the original voice cast, the showrunners for the series, Brandon Vetti and Greg Weisman will return to helm the show’s return.
There is no release date or window for the return of Young Justice, but with this reveal, it’s only a matter of time.
