Justice League is just days away, but then, the DCEU basically takes a year off until Aquaman arrives next December. But then, in 2019, it’s coming back with a vengeance, with Wonder Woman 2, possibly Suicide Squad 2, and the live-action film debut of SHAZAM!, where we know the lead role will be Zachary Levi.

Suffice to say, he’s very excited, and with good reason. But some still wonder what the film will be like. Well, in an interview, he likens the film to another classic “boy becomes man” story…Big.

“The hope is that it’s gonna feel like the movie ‘Big’, but with super powers. […] So, you’re gonna have the heart of that kind of Tom Hanks of the kid in you.”

He also confirmed that Billy Batson (who transforms into SHAZAM!) is going to be 13 in the film, and we know he’ll be played by Asher Angel.

Levi again let it be known just how excited he is for this role:

“I’m honored and greatly humbled to be a part of it. It’s insane. These superhero roles, they come around very seldom and to be somebody who’s blessed enough to get to pull that brass ring and to go have a franchise, a tentpole, it’s insane.”

SHAZAM! arrives April 5th, 2019
